Automotive Dyna Test Technician
About The Position
We are the world’s top supplier of automotive test facilities, providing a full range of services to commercial automotive industry customers. Customers include not only the world’s major vehicle providers and other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), but also clients from the international motor sports community. We are hiring a Dyna Test Technician to work at the Axle and Transmission Development lab in Livonia, MI. This is a position for those with some knowledge and experience in automotive, either on the job or as a hobby. We are looking for someone with a passion for automotive and an enthusiasm to learn automotive testing from a leader in the industry. Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Computer experience (MS suite; word, excel, power point, etc)
- Basic hand tool usage
- Basic understanding of engine and transmission functions
- Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers.
- Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others.
- Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.
- Dependable personal transportation to work site is required.
Nice To Haves
- Associate in Automotive Technology or related field of study
- Engine or transmission related testing
- Basic understanding of instrumentation
- Knowledge of and/or experience with engine, transmission, axle and exhaust components and their functions.
Responsibilities
- Operation of durability and performance test stands.
- Monitoring of ongoing tests.
- Troubleshooting setup and operational issues related to transmission or axle testing.
- Work with requesters to meet all testing requirements using written and verbal methods of communication.
