PYP Automotive Dismantler
About The Position
The Dismantler is responsible for properly removing high-valued auto parts and usable core parts in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. Essential Job Duties include dismantling and removing cores, wiring harness and O2 sensors from engines. The role also involves assisting in removing and setting vehicles in the retail yard, assisting other crush pad workers as needed, and potentially operating a forklift and loading trucks. Maintaining orderliness and housekeeping of assigned work areas, meeting productivity guidelines, and wearing all required PPE are crucial. The Dismantler must comply with established company policies and procedures and may assume other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have hands-on automotive repair experience.
- Must complete required training.
- Necessary tools will be provided as needed.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Basic messages communicated orally.
- May write brief messages and keep simple records.
- Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
- Follows standard procedures with little decision making involved.
- Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager.
- Must be able to use hand and electric tools.
- Must be able to lift to 75 pounds.
