About The Position
The Dismantler is responsible for properly removing high-valued auto parts and usable core parts in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. This role involves dismantling and removing components like hybrid batteries, catalytic converters, and airbags from vehicles. The position also includes staging parts for pickup, assisting with customer sales, potentially operating a forklift, maintaining a clean work area, and meeting productivity guidelines. Additionally, the role may require the use of handheld devices for data entry and reporting, and adherence to company policies.
Requirements
- Must have hands-on automotive repair experience.
- Must complete required training.
- Necessary tools will be provided as needed.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.
- Must be able to use hand and electric tools.

- High School Diploma/GED.
Responsibilities
- Dismantle and remove hybrid batteries, catalytic converters, airbags and other parts efficiently from vehicles in a safety conscious manner.
- Stage high value cores/parts for vendor or customer pickups.
- Respond to customer countersales by receiving order, pulling product and taking to sales counter.
- May be required to operate forklift and load trucks.
- Maintain orderliness and housekeeping of assigned work areas.
- Must meet productivity guidelines.
- May be required to use hand held or similar device to enter information and generate reports.
- Comply with established company policies and procedures.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
