Requirements

Previous experience as an Automotive Diesel Technician, with a focus on diesel engine repairs, preferred.
In-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
Experience with transmissions, exhaust systems, and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency in using automotive tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with technicians and service personnel.
Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in diesel engine technology and repair techniques.
Must pass pre-employment background screenings.

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications in Diesel Engines or related areas are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with diesel engines and related systems.
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
Inspect, repair, and rebuild transmissions in diesel-powered vehicles.
Repair and replace exhaust system components, including mufflers and catalytic converters.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems in diesel vehicles and heavy-duty equipment.
Communicate with Service Advisors regarding repair options, additional work, and estimated timelines.
Follow all safety protocols and dealership procedures during repair activities.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
