About The Position

Transdev in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking both an Automotive and Diesel Technician to bolster our team. As a Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, full time 40 hours a week.
CBA Position:
Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:
$28.00 - $36.00 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
3% increase each year of employment.
Benefits include:
Vacation: up to 14 days after one (1) year of employment.
Holiday: 14 days
Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly full-time employees/ 5 hrs monthly part- time employees; medical, dental & vision after 30 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.
Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement

Requirements

• Mechanic’s Tool Set
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Dodge, Chevy, Ford experience preferred.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements on automotive engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Other duties as required.
