About The Position
Hyundai of Vacaville is looking for an experienced Automotive Detailer to join our Service Department. This position plays an important role in preparing customer, new, and used vehicles to the highest standard of appearance. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of delivering a clean, professional vehicle experience.
Requirements
- Previous automotive detailing experience required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive automatic vehicles; manual transmission preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles and cleaning equipment.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Manual transmission driving ability preferred.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning, restoring, and preparing vehicles for customers, sales deliveries, and dealership inventory.
- Washing, waxing, and polishing vehicle exteriors.
- Vacuuming and cleaning interiors, including carpets, seats, dashboards, and windows.
- Removing stains, odors, dirt, and debris from vehicles.
- Applying protective treatments to vehicle surfaces as needed.
- Cleaning wheel wells, door jambs, and engine compartments when required.
- Preparing new and used vehicles for customer delivery.
- Inspecting vehicles for damage and reporting concerns to management.
- Safely moving and parking vehicles around the dealership.
- Keeping the detail area clean, organized, and safe.
- Properly using and storing detailing equipment and chemicals.
- Assisting the Service and Sales Departments with vehicle preparation.
- Helping maintain dealership lot presentation and inventory appearance.
