About The Position

Join the Dahl Automotive team at our Reconditioning Center in Onalaska, WI—a non-guest-facing location where you can focus on getting vehicles looking their best! We’re looking for an Entry-Level Detail Technician to clean and recondition the interiors and exteriors of vehicles, preparing our used cars to be showroom- and lot-ready. You’ll work with state-of-the-art equipment designed to help you work efficiently and get more done. Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to safely maneuver in and out of vehicles, including bending, reaching, kneeling, crawling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely operate detailing tools, equipment, and cleaning products.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while also contributing to a productive and successful team.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure vehicles meet Dahl Automotive’s quality standards.
  • Properly use, care for, and maintain all detailing tools and equipment.
  • Immediately report any vehicle damage or concerns to the supervising manager.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with team members to complete work efficiently.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and consistently deliver excellent service that positively represents Dahl Automotive.
  • Bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and can-do mentality to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales and Service departments by ensuring vehicles are clean, polished, and showroom-ready.
  • Thoroughly wash and clean vehicle exteriors, interiors, windows, and upholstery.
  • Vacuum and detail vehicle interiors to meet Dahl Automotive’s quality standards.
  • Apply wax and use a buffer to achieve a clean, polished finish.
  • Clean engines and engine compartments as needed.
  • Inspect vehicles for noticeable dents, scratches, or other defects and report concerns to management.
  • Ensure all vehicles are sales-ready and looking their best before returning to the lot.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality results.
  • Follow dealership standards and procedures to consistently deliver exceptional vehicle presentation.
