Position Summary The Detail Technician is responsible for cleaning, restoring, and preparing both new and pre-owned vehicles for delivery, display, and customer service appointments. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining dealership standards.

Requirements

  • Previous detailing experience is preferred but not required—we're willing to train the right individual.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly wash, dry, wax, and detail interior and exterior surfaces of vehicles.
  • Vacuum carpets, clean upholstery, shampoo interiors, and remove stains.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, tires, door jambs, engine compartments, and trim.
  • Apply protective coatings, dressings, and polishing compounds when needed.
  • Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery to ensure a showroom-quality presentation.
  • Maintain the appearance of all vehicles displayed on the lot.
  • Inspect vehicles for cosmetic imperfections and report any damage to management.
  • Move vehicles safely throughout the dealership and service areas.
  • Keep detailing equipment, supplies, and work areas clean, organized, and maintained.
  • Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations regarding chemicals and equipment.
  • Work efficiently to meet daily production goals while maintaining exceptional quality.
  • Assist with dealership events, vehicle photography, and special projects as needed.
  • Support teammates and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
