Position Summary The Detail Technician is responsible for cleaning, restoring, and preparing both new and pre-owned vehicles for delivery, display, and customer service appointments. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining dealership standards.
Requirements
- Previous detailing experience is preferred but not required—we're willing to train the right individual.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash, dry, wax, and detail interior and exterior surfaces of vehicles.
- Vacuum carpets, clean upholstery, shampoo interiors, and remove stains.
- Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, tires, door jambs, engine compartments, and trim.
- Apply protective coatings, dressings, and polishing compounds when needed.
- Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery to ensure a showroom-quality presentation.
- Maintain the appearance of all vehicles displayed on the lot.
- Inspect vehicles for cosmetic imperfections and report any damage to management.
- Move vehicles safely throughout the dealership and service areas.
- Keep detailing equipment, supplies, and work areas clean, organized, and maintained.
- Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations regarding chemicals and equipment.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production goals while maintaining exceptional quality.
- Assist with dealership events, vehicle photography, and special projects as needed.
- Support teammates and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
