About The Position

Sheehy Auto Stores is seeking a Detailer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a keen attention to detail. This on-site role involves working as a detailing/reconditioning expert to ensure vehicles are immaculate for customers. The company is looking for individuals passionate about automotive detailing.

Requirements

Must have held a valid driver’s license for a minimum of three (3) years.
Must have a clean driving record
Be able to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Must be authorized to work in the USA
Able to pass a pre-employment background screening, Motor Vehicle Record Check, and drug test

Responsibilities

Washes vehicle exterior to clean cars, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes
Applies wax to auto body and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine, using a cloth or a buffing machine
Vacuum interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris using a vacuum cleaner
Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces using cleaning agents, applicators, and devices
Applies revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components
Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime
Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials that do not respond to standard cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following the product manufacturer's recommendations
Paints engine components and related parts using a spray gun, aerosol can, and masking material
Applies paint to chipped body surfaces of the vehicle, using a container of touch-up paint
Applies dyes and reconditioning chemicals to vinyl tops of vehicles to restore color and condition
