About The Position

Enterprise Mobility is hiring a full-time Automotive Detailer (Car Washer) for its Orland Park, Oak Lawn, and South Suburbs locations. The starting pay is $16.50 per hour, and full-time work is based on a 40-hour workweek. The role involves washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing cars, trucks, and vans for customer rentals while meeting cleanliness and safety standards. Detailers also maintain the cleanliness and appearance of branch locations, assist customers, and may transport customers to and from branches.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license with no more than one moving violation and/or at-fault accident on the driving record in the past three years.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
Must have 12 consecutive months of work or organizational experience.
Must not have interviewed with Enterprise for any position in the last 12 months.
Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks of different sizes.
Check fuel levels and warning lights; inspect windshields; reset vehicle settings to clear prior customer data; check for customer belongings and place valuables in Lost & Found; and verify vehicle registration.
Check fluid levels and add fluids as needed; assess tire condition, pressure, and tread depth; and inspect the exterior for damage.
Fuel and stage vehicles.
Inspect vehicles for safety concerns, report warning lights or vehicle, windshield, or tire damage, and remove vehicles from the preparation process as necessary.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines and air purifiers to remove stains, pet hair, and odors.
Assist customers when needed and, when required, transport them to and from branches.
Help maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of branch interiors and exteriors, including desks, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, and lots.
Improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
