About The Position

Join the Baker Chevrolet GMC Team! At Baker Chevrolet GMC of Alma, we're looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as an Automotive Detailer / Lot Porter. This is a dual-role position that combines vehicle detailing with dealership support responsibilities to help keep our inventory, facility, and operations running smoothly. No two days are exactly the same. From preparing vehicles for delivery and maintaining our lot to assisting various departments throughout the dealership, you'll play an important role in providing an exceptional experience for our customers and supporting our team. Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to safely operate cars, trucks, and SUVs

Nice To Haves

  • Previous automotive detailing or dealership experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate
  • Dependable with excellent attendance

Responsibilities

  • Wash and dry new and pre-owned vehicles
  • Apply wax or paint protection products as needed
  • Vacuum vehicle interiors
  • Clean windows, mirrors, dashboards, door panels, consoles, and trim
  • Clean wheels and apply tire dressing
  • Clean engine compartments when required
  • Perform dealer prep on incoming inventory
  • Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet dealership quality standards before delivery
  • Safely move vehicles throughout the dealership lot, showroom, service department, and body shop
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and attractive vehicle display
  • Receive and organize incoming vehicle inventory
  • Fuel vehicles as needed
  • Install license plates, dealership decals, and other delivery items
  • Keep the dealership lot clean, organized, and free of debris
  • Empty shop trash and recycling containers throughout the dealership
  • Remove and dispose of scrap metal and other designated shop materials
  • Occasionally shuttle customers to and from the dealership in a safe, courteous, and professional manner
  • Make occasional parts runs to vendors or other dealership locations
  • Assist the sales, service, and body shop departments with general dealership support
  • Perform other duties as assigned to help keep dealership operations running efficiently
