About The Position

I-5 Cars is seeking a dependable and motivated Full-Time Flat Rate Detail Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for cleaning, detailing, reconditioning, and preparing vehicles for customer delivery and lot presentation standards. Compensation is production-based under a flat-rate pay structure. Earnings may vary depending on productivity, efficiency, experience, and workflow volume. Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Prior detailing experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Wash, wax, buff, polish, and detail interior and exterior vehicle surfaces
  • Vacuum carpets, upholstery, and trunk areas
  • Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, tires, door jambs, and engine compartments
  • Shampoo carpets and upholstery as needed
  • Apply protective coatings and detailing products
  • Remove stains, odors, and debris from vehicle interiors
  • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and quality standards prior to delivery
  • Move and park vehicles safely on dealership property
  • Maintain detailing equipment, tools, and work areas in clean and safe condition
  • Follow dealership safety procedures and chemical handling requirements
  • Communicate with managers regarding vehicle status and production flow
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
