About The Position

As a Shop Manager at Xcite Automotive, you will lead the daily operations of an automotive detail shop while ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and dealership-ready vehicle quality. This role is responsible for supervising detail shop employees, managing workflow in a fast-paced dealership environment, and maintaining high standards for productivity, safety, and performance. The ideal candidate is an experience automotive detailing professional with strong leadership skills, excellent organization, and the ability to step in and perform hands-on detailing when needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional automotive detailing experience (interior and exterior).
  • Prior supervisory, lead, or assistant manager experience in a shop, dealership, or reconditioning environment.
  • Strong knowledge of detailing products, tools, and safety practices.
  • Reliable transportation and full-time availability, including weekends if needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support a dealership workflow.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Detail Shop Manager, Assistant Manager, or Lead Detailer.
  • Background in dealership operations or reconditioning services.
  • Ability to train and mentor detailers on best practices and quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and coach detail shop employees, including detailers and car wash attendants.
  • Manage daily shop operations, employee scheduling, and shift coverage to meet dealership production demands.
  • Perform hands-on automotive detailing as needed to support workflow and maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet dealership-ready appearance standards prior to delivery.
  • Monitor productivity, turnaround times, and overall shop efficiency.
  • Maintain inventory levels for detailing chemicals, tools, and equipment.
  • Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and quality control standards.
  • Train and mentor team members on detailing techniques, safety practices, and operational procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance efficiency and service quality.
