About The Position

Hudson Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Commission & Compensation Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will support the review, validation, analysis, and administration of dealership commission calculations, pay plan structures, and compensation reporting. This role partners with Controllers, General Managers, Payroll, Finance, and operational leaders to ensure commission payments are accurate, timely, compliant with company policy, and supported by verifiable dealership management system (DMS), payroll, and financial data. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent combination of education or experience (required)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including charts, formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data validation / configurations
  • Experience with HRIS systems, compensation tools, or reporting platforms preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two plus years of experience in automotive dealership payroll, accounting, finance, sales operations, compensation administration, or a related analytical role preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing commission calculations, pay plans, incentive payments, payroll data, or compensation-related reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including advanced Excel skills such as formulas, lookups, pivot tables, sorting, filtering, and data validation.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize competing requests, and work accurately in a fast-paced payroll environment.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling compensation, payroll, financial, and performance-related information.

  • Ability to interpret approved pay plans, translate plan language into calculations, and verify results against operational, payroll, accounting, and financial data.
  • Advanced attention to detail with strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain compensation findings to financial and operational stakeholders.
  • Experience with dealership management systems, payroll platforms, accounting schedules, commission reporting tools, and reporting or visualization tools is preferred.
  • Experience creating compensation dashboards, audit reports, process documentation, or commission calculation templates preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive dealership operations, including variable operations, fixed operations, F&I, service, parts, and accounting processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support market pricing, salary structure maintenance, and compensation analyses
  • Assist with incentive plan administration, reporting, and compensation process controls
  • Build and maintain recurring and ad hoc compensation reports and dashboards
  • Conduct pay equity and compensation-related analyses to support fair and competitive pay practices
  • Partner with HR and Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and salary recommendations
  • Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate compensation processes and reporting
  • Support the review, validation, analysis, and administration of dealership commission calculations, pay plan structures, and compensation reporting
  • Ensure commission payments are accurate, timely, compliant with company policy, and supported by verifiable dealership management system (DMS), payroll, and financial data
