This position is ideal for a dependable automotive service leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and keeping a busy quick lube operation running smoothly from open to close.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of quick lube, express service, or automotive service management experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of automotive maintenance services, basic vehicle systems, service tools, and shop safety practices.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and hold team members accountable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive service certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends, evenings, or holidays based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily quick lube operations, including workflow, vehicle throughput, service quality, and customer wait times.
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and coach the assistant manager and lube technicians to support consistent performance and professional growth.
  • Ensure that oil changes, fluid services, filter replacements, tire checks, inspections, and related maintenance services are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain strong customer service standards by greeting customers professionally, explaining recommended services, and resolving concerns promptly.
  • Monitor inventory levels for oil, filters, fluids, parts, tools, and supplies; place orders as needed to prevent service interruptions.
  • Enforce safety procedures, environmental standards, housekeeping expectations, and company policies across the service area.
  • Inspect equipment, work bays, and service areas regularly to ensure cleanliness, readiness, and safe operation.
  • Review repair orders, service documentation, and daily paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Track team productivity, service performance, and customer satisfaction; recommend improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Partner with store or service leadership on hiring, onboarding, training, sales goals, and department performance.
  • Drive financial results by meeting and exceeding sales, payroll and inventory budgets.
