We are seeking a driven and motivated Automotive BDC - Vehicle Buyer to join our growing Buick GMC team. This role is focused on sourcing high-quality pre-owned vehicles through street purchases, the service drive, and auctions. The ideal candidate is hardworking, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment while aligning with our culture of integrity, teamwork, and performance.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic with a self-starter mentality
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close deals
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of vehicle values, market trends, and auction processes
  • Automotive dealership experience is a plus, but not required for the right candidate

Responsibilities

  • Proactively source vehicles from the public (off the street), service drive, and online/physical auctions
  • Appraise vehicles accurately and competitively to secure inventory
  • Build relationships with service customers, vendors, and auction representatives
  • Negotiate purchases professionally while protecting dealership profitability
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, pricing, and inventory needs
  • Work closely with management, service, and sales teams to support inventory goals
  • Ensure all acquisitions meet dealership standards and compliance requirements
