Midas - Automotive Assistant & Service Managers
About The Position
Auto Systems Centers, the world's largest Midas franchisee and now part of the Mavis Tire family, is hiring full-time Assistant and Service Managers for its service, repair, and tire center in Dayton, Ohio. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in ensuring that a Midas retail location operates efficiently, safely, and effectively. They use leadership skills to enforce policies, procedures, and standards; schedule mechanics’ and technicians’ work; manage outside orders; ensure jobs are completed on time and to quality standards; meet customer expectations; and promote team-member safety. Service Managers help customers select tires and recommend needed under-car repair services. They direct the workflow of mechanics, alignment technicians, and tire technicians, and stage vehicle repair and maintenance work to support timely, high-quality completion and customer satisfaction. They also drive sales initiatives, communicate directly with customers, assess customer needs, explain requested or necessary automotive repairs and maintenance, and work to meet customer expectations.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience or training in automotive parts and/or tire sales, or a relevant combination of education, training, and experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
- Dependability, teamwork, and commitment to quality service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in operating the Midas location efficiently, safely, and effectively.
- Enforce established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Schedule mechanics’ and technicians’ work.
- Manage outside orders.

- Meet customer expectations and support team-member safety.
- Assist customers with tire selections and recommend necessary under-car repair services.

- Drive Midas sales initiatives.
- Communicate with customers, assess their needs, and provide information about requested or necessary automotive repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure customers are satisfied with their in-store experience.
