About The Position

The Automotive Assistant Sales Manager/Closer must consistently and profitably meet vehicle sales quotas through expert management and leadership of the sales team. In addition, the Automotive Assistant Sales Manager/Closer hires, trains, and monitors team member performance; resolves customer complaints; and helps with closings when necessary. The ideal candidate has some post-secondary education (degree, coursework, certification, etc.), at least two years of experience in a large-volume dealership, and some supervisory or management experience. He or she must have a strong business acumen and sales aptitude and a willingness to accept full accountability for sales targets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong leadership and motivational skills are essential. Requirements

  • Must have 2 years + proven Assistant Sales Manager /Closer experience (automotive sales experience only need apply)
  • Sales experience with verifiable proof of meeting sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outgoing personality and willing to work with the public on a daily basis.
  • Highly professional and dependable.
  • Proficient computer and internet skills.
  • Confidence in your ability to be successful.
  • A desire to work in a commission, performance-based environment.
  • Must be a strong closer with the ability to ask for the sales and follow through.
  • Must be a team leader with the ability to train, manage, and build a strong sales team.
  • Professional appearance and work ethic.
  • Self-starter and self-motivator.
  • Ability to work in a process driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Hires, trains, and monitors team member performance.
  • Ensures all sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Manage, train and direct a team of Sales Professionals.
  • Encourage and motivate Sales Professionals daily to maintain high moral.
  • Maintain an owner follow up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
  • Continually learn about product updates, features, accessories, inventory and their benefits to the customer.
  • Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and be devoted to guaranteeing satisfaction to our customers.
  • Establish personal goals that are consistent with the dealerships standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Learn to overcome objections; ask for the sale; negotiate price; complete sales or purchase agreement; explain and offer warranties service and finance.
  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Company's Values in all interactions with customers, coworkers and vendors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
