About The Position

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Alignment Technicians to join their team at one of their state-of-the-art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Lanoka Harbor, NJ area. Mavis is recognized as one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States, boasting over 2,000 retail locations. In this role, Automotive Alignment Technicians utilize advanced equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer vehicles. Their primary function involves measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe, and thrust angles to minimize tire wear and ensure vehicles track straight and true. Additionally, technicians are responsible for conducting state-mandated inspections, performing oil and filter changes, executing flat repairs, and carrying out any other necessary automotive services or vehicle repairs for customers.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Be legally authorized to work in the United States
Possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position

Nice To Haves

Possess a state inspection license

Responsibilities

Use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles
Measure and adjust caster, camber, toe and thrust angles to reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true
Complete state-mandated inspections
Perform oil and filter changes
Perform flat repairs
Perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles
