About The Position

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician for a service, repair, and tire sales center in the Sylvania, Georgia area. Technicians use current equipment to align newly mounted tires and wheels. They measure and adjust caster, camber, toe, and thrust angles to reduce tire wear and help vehicles travel straight and true. They also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes, flat repairs, and other required automotive services and vehicle repairs. This active role involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive movements associated with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Technicians regularly lift or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must have one year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires, or a combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the role's duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, and reach, and perform repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair.
Must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

A state inspection license is preferred.
