About The Position

Tom Wood is seeking an Automotive Painter / Window Tinter to join our high-performing team. This position is responsible for preparing, painting, refinishing, and tinting vehicles while maintaining high-quality workmanship and excellent customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has experience with automotive paint applications, color matching, window tint installation, and vehicle preparation techniques.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in automotive painting, refinishing, or window tinting preferred.
  • Knowledge of paint preparation, color matching, and spray equipment operation.
  • Experience installing automotive window tint.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, and reach.
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in an automotive shop environment with exposure to paint, chemicals, and shop equipment.
  • Passing a background check, motor vehicle record review, social security verification, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicles and components for painting, including sanding, masking, priming, and surface preparation.
  • Mix and match paint colors to manufacturer specifications.
  • Apply paint, clear coats, and finishes using professional spray equipment.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality appearance and finish.
  • Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed.
  • Maintain paint booths, tools, and equipment in a safe and clean condition.
  • Install automotive window tint on various vehicle makes and models.
  • Cut and fit tint film accurately to vehicle windows.
  • Ensure installations are free of bubbles, creases, and defects.
  • Remove and replace tint when necessary.
  • Follow all applicable state and local tint regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work efficiently while meeting production and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding job status and customer requests.
  • Assist with other shop duties as assigned.
