About The Position

Advance Your Career in Cyber Security Our company is poised to grow by double digits this year. Utilize your cybersecurity skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to serve our customers in the continental United States. This is primarily a remote work position; however, the person chosen for this position must live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area or Alaska and be authorized to work within the United States. InfoDefense is looking for a seasoned Automations Engineer to join our team. The person hired for this position will automate compliance audits, respond to security events, integrate security technologies, and develop secure infrastructure to advance our security operations and compliance management capabilities. This is a full-time, salaried, primarily remote work position. However, to be qualified, the candidate must reside within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, or in Alaska. The position involves a rotating on-call support schedule to address outages and security incidents outside of normal business hours, as well as occasional travel.

Requirements

  • Proficient in systems/security engineering, Kubernetes, networking, and programming
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • At least two years of information technology experience
  • Debian or Fedora-based operating systems
  • Familiarity with Git, SDLC, CICD processes
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, etc.
  • Proficient in C and/or Python
  • Network Engineering, to include routing, switching, and firewall fundamentals
  • Proficient in ingesting security and system logs from disparate sources and formats, such as SNMP, syslog, etc.
  • Experience with managing and leveraging REST-based APIs

Nice To Haves

  • Kubernetes: Rook, CephFS, and/or kustomize experience
  • M code experience
  • Knowledge of Fortinet firewall technologies
  • Proficient in database technologies such as OpenSearch and SQL
  • Ansible, Terraform experience
  • N8n, shuffle experience
  • Power BI, Monday experience
  • Fundamental understanding of NIST SP 800-171, CMMC 2.0, or any other regulatory standards (HIPAA, SOX, PCI-DSS, etc).
  • Knowledge of OS Architecture
  • Certifications (CISSP, Security +, CEH, CISA, CISM, Fortinet NSE4, Microsoft) and any other cyber security related certification.
  • Cyber incident response experience
  • Military service
