About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for Automation Technicians in Manchester, CT. As an Automation Technician, you will support automation engineering services activities such as hardware and software design and development. You will maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation/robotic system components. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and components and return them to serviceability. This role requires an understanding of PLCs and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, including complex automated system drawings. You will use power tools and measuring equipment properly, analyze engineering test results, and implement changes to resolve problems. You will assist the automation team in the qualification process of automated systems, record procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or method. You will maintain software, documentation, and equipment to the latest revision or operational specifications and assist engineers in developing and designing hardware and software required for all automation.

Requirements

• Understanding of PLCs
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.
• Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment
• 2 years of related experience
