As an Automation Technician I/II/III for Greenheck Group you will build, wire, assemble, and install electrical controls used in machines and tooling systems. You will be responsible for basic programming of one or more of the following: HMI, PLC.

Requirements

  • High school or GED required.
  • AutoCAD or Drafting software
  • Basic PLC training
  • Basic HMI Programming

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Year / associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or a related field of study preferred (Level I).
  • 2 Year / associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required (Level II & III).

Responsibilities

  • Write PLC-HMI program using various software packages.
  • Create electrical schematics and electrical cabinet layout using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Build and wire electrical panels.
  • Typical programs would be low complexity machine control.
  • Design low complexity machine guarding strategies that comply with OSHA and ANSI standards, to ensure the safety of our Greenheck teammates.
  • Wire external machine components to electrical cabinet.
  • Develop electrical parts list for the project.
  • Order parts for projects using Ariba Purchasing system.
  • Power up, troubleshoot, and commission machine to make production ready.
