Requirements

  • Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member.
  • Judgment to perform work and make decisions as to setups and quality with concentrated mental and visual attention.
  • Moderate physical exertion.
  • Able to lift to up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical movement includes repetitive motion, with twisting, bending, and standing during the shift.
  • Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE. (Safety goggles, hearing protections, steel-toe non-slip safety shoes, and gloves as needed.)

Nice To Haves

  • Some robotic and CNC programming experience is preferred. Will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Write, backup, and managed storage of programs for CNC lathes and Machining Centers.
  • Write, backup, and managed storage of vision system programs utilized for robotic cells, presses, molding machines, lathes, and any additional locations where the use of a camera is deemed beneficial.
  • Experience with project management to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Determine what process is causing non-compliance and correct if possible.
  • Design and assist in the installation of robotic cells.
  • Design, program, construct, repair, and test new and old casting gauges for compliant or non-compliant products.
  • Research innovations in the Automated Processes.
  • Research and test new cutting tools for lathes and machine centers.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust existing robot and lathe programs.
  • Train new personnel on the operation of lathes and robotic cells.
  • Assist maintenance with technical issues and repairs of Robotic and CNC equipment.
  • Assist with implementation of automated systems plantwide to improve system processes and customer quality wherever possible.
  • Assist with CNC and Robotic equipment integration to PLCs at current and new workstations.
  • Utilize delay time constructively by doing housekeeping or other area improvement activities.
  • Participate in area continuous improvement efforts including Employee Involvement activities.
  • Personal attendance record should remain in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Able to work overtime as assigned
