About The Position

MULLER Technology CO, Inc. is seeking an Automation Technician I to join their team. This role focuses on either Mechanical or Electrical assembly, with the expectation of growth into other disciplines documented in a training matrix. The technician will be responsible for utilizing and understanding engineering drawings, building, wiring, and qualifying sub-assemblies, main assemblies, and final machines. They will also troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, or electrical problems, communicate with other departments for solutions, and set up final systems according to internal and customer quality acceptance measures to ensure the final product meets specifications.

Requirements

  • Experience in A.C., D.C., and three-phase wiring.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Conceptual knowledge of pneumatics and servo-drive motors.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time, travel can be one to three weeks per trip. (Required)
  • Working daily onsite at Muller Technology CO, Inc. with expectation of no less than 40 hours worked weekly.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of manufacturing experience in a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical degree in automation preferred.
  • Experience as a commercial electrician or machine/automation maintenance technician is preferred.
  • Willing to train the right candidate with minimal experience and certifications for an apprentice role.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to utilize and understand engineering drawings, building, wiring, and qualifying sub-assemblies, main assemblies, and final machines.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, or electrical problems as they may arise.
  • Proactively communicate with other departments for solutions.
  • Ability to set up final systems in accordance with internal quality acceptance measures.
  • Ability to set up final systems in accordance with quality acceptance measures set by customer.
  • Ensure the final product meets specifications.
