About The Position

P&G is looking for an Automation Technician (Equipment Owner) to join their team in Brantford, Ontario, at the Greater Toronto Fulfillment Centre (GTFC), starting in August 2026. This is an entry-level position where technicians will be provided with the necessary tools, responsibility, and opportunities for career development. The role involves working in a continuous 24/7 operation and requires adaptability to shift work, including 12-hour shifts on days, nights, or evenings, with potential for overtime and weekend/holiday work. Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or diploma from a Trade or Technical College in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Robotics, Engineering, or Digital/Software.
  • Must be able to work shift work (Evenings, Overnight, early mornings) and potentially rotate between shifts.
  • Ability to work at heights, climb stairs/ladders/platforms, and move on and around equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push & pull objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to flex, extend, and rotate neck.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to meet the requirements of safe operation and personal safety, including wearing PPE and responding appropriately to alarms and signals.
  • Operate a computer, keyboard, phone, scanners, and electronic interfaces.
  • Ability to enter and work in enclosed areas.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold), dust, and dirt.
  • Learn/Know terminology and functions of machine components.
  • Meet the requirements of Quality/Good Manufacturing Practices/Good Lab Practices, following applicable gowning/de-gowning procedures.
  • Ability to position & move cases of product, bottles, connect hoses, handle glass flasks and bottles.
  • Work around strong odor of perfume or wear appropriate PPE.
  • Must be authorized to work in the location.

Nice To Haves

  • Applied mechanical skills in an industrial environment.
  • Experience with electrical, digital/software, and robotics.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems and equipment, including autonomous robots for case, layer, and/or pallet movements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on equipment.
  • Analyze trends and technical data to gain insights and proactively identify issues.
  • Ensure optimal performance and efficiency in fulfilling customer orders.
  • Learn and develop mechanical, electrical, digital & software, and robotics skills.
  • Build technical skills in others.
