About The Position

We are looking to fill a future vacancy for an Automation Technician (Equipment Owner) to join our team in Brantford, Ontario at our Greater Toronto Fulfillment Centre (GTFC) starting in August 2026. Automation Technicians are hired at entry level and will be given the tools, responsibility, and opportunity to develop throughout their careers. As an Automation Technician, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems and equipment including but not limited to autonomous robots responsible for case, layer and/or pallet movements. You will perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on equipment, analyze trends and technical data to gain insights, and identify issues proactively to ensure optimal performance and efficiency in fulfilment of customer orders. This role also involves learning and developing mechanical, electrical, digital & software and robotics skills, as well as building technical skills in others.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or diploma from a Trade or Technical College in any of these fields: Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Robotics, Engineering, and Digital/Software
  • Must be able to work shift work (Evenings, Overnight, early mornings) and potentially rotate between evenings, nights, and day shifts
  • Ability to work at heights, climb stairs/ladders/platforms, etc., and climb on and around equipment
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis
  • Successful completion of a Technical Interview will be required as part of the application process.

Nice To Haves

  • Applied mechanical skills in an industrial environment and experience with electrical, digital/software, and robotics is an asset
