About The Position

Requirements
- Led automation for a manufacturing line from concept through rate production.
- Specified and accepted integrator-built cells, and rejected the ones that didn't meet spec.
- Hands-on with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks when it matters.
- Design safety in from the start: risk assessments, guarding, and functional safety.
- Debug at 2am when the launch needs it and fix the root cause after.
Nice To Haves
- Rockwell or Siemens platforms.
- Robot programming (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA).
- Weld or steel automation.
- Greenfield launches.
Responsibilities
- Own automation systems across the factory: robot cells, conveyance, and the controls tying them into one line.
- Set the automation architecture, PLCs, safety systems, and integration standards, before the equipment is bought.
- Lead integrator selection and hold them to acceptance criteria you write.
- Commission cells to rate and keep them there: OEE owned at the system level.
