About The Position

We are actively seeking dynamic Automation Sales Engineer to join our growing team out of our Bolingbrook location. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree. Engineering preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Systems, or related discipline), or commensurate experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in engineered systems, automation, robotics, or industrial equipment.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding multi-million-dollar sales targets.
  • Prior hands-on experience as an engineer in product development, application engineering, or systems integration strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing complex, consultative, and long-cycle sales processes, primarily in warehousing and manufacturing / production applications.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and grow the customer base.
  • Conduct customer visits and sales meetings with engineering and account team support.
  • Prepare accurate and timely proposals, quotes, and estimates for projects and services.
  • Establish project pricing and profitability while negotiating customer agreements.
  • Oversee project execution to ensure customer satisfaction and successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate with administrative teams to ensure accurate project billing.
  • Support marketing initiatives and promote company services.
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to optimize costs and project value.
  • Provide technical input and support where needed.
  • Review project billing and resolve issues before invoicing customers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support business operations and client needs.
  • Promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, warranties, and OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to travel extensively (domestic and international as required).
  • Driver’s license with good driving record.
  • May be required to attend off-site functions occasionally (such as trade shows or customer outings).
