Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
  • Able to travel up to 25%

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in programming PLC’s, robots, and creating operator interfaces preferred
  • Familiar with other programming languages a plus (Python, C++, C#, VB)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop machine processes with support from mechanical engineering
  • Assist with the selection of electrical components
  • Create programs to control machines using Allen Bradley Studio 5000 software
  • Design HMIs for machine control using Allen Bradley FTView Studio ME software
  • Review the safety circuit design and complete machine safety system programming
  • Provide suggestions for design improvements or changes during all phases of machine design
  • Integrate third party equipment into machine functions
  • Debug and prepare the machine for factory acceptance testing (FAT)
  • Review the operating manuals prepared by the technical writer
  • Travel to the customer’s facility for machine integration and site acceptance testing (SAT)
  • Communicate and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner
