About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Automation Program Director to support a high-impact Intelligence Community environment. This role focuses on leading the delivery of automation solutions that streamline operations, improve efficiency, and support mission-critical workflows. The ideal candidate combines strong program leadership experience with technical understanding of automation technologies. This role requires close collaboration with government stakeholders, technical teams, and program personnel to ensure successful execution of automation initiatives from concept through deployment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading IT or automation programs, including at least 2 years in RPA or intelligent automation within federal environments
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong ability to manage programs in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and make informed decisions quickly
  • Proven experience working directly with government stakeholders and serving as a trusted advisor
  • PMP or equivalent certification (active and current)
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
  • Working knowledge of UiPath and ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams
  • Strong leadership, accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments
  • Able to work on-site in Reston, VA with occasional travel to National Harbour area

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting DIA or Intelligence Community clients
  • PMI-ACP or SAFe Agilist certification
  • Experience establishing or leading an RPA Center of Excellence
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and classified systems environments
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS in a government contracting environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead automation program delivery from problem definition through deployment, ensuring successful execution of mission-critical workflows.
  • Serve as the primary interface with government stakeholders, providing guidance on execution, risk management, and program performance.
  • Drive Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and rapid resolution of blockers to maintain program momentum.
  • Manage core program artifacts including Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Monthly Status Reports (MSRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and risk tracking.
  • Prioritize automation initiatives based on mission impact and technical feasibility in collaboration with business process engineers and developers.
  • Contribute to proposal efforts including staffing plans, past performance, and technical approach development as needed.
