About The Position

The Automation Operator is responsible for setting up and operating an Automatan machine to produce products according to customer specifications. This role involves troubleshooting, performing minor repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance on the machine. The operator will also train and direct assistant operators and utility/helper/offbearer staff as assigned. Key duties include performing quality checks, taking corrective actions, maintaining production records, and performing other related tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Prior manufacturing experience
• Pass pre-employment physical and drug test
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to verbally communicate to co-workers and supervisors
• Ability to stand for standard 8 hour shift or longer
• Ability to lift 40 lbs frequently
• Ability to bend and twist frequently
• Some skill at problem solving and troubleshooting
• Working mechanical ability
• Some skill at record keeping including paper records and computer data input

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates Automatan machine to produce product(s) to customer specification.
• Troubleshoots, performs minor repair and preventative maintenance procedures on Automatan machine.
• Trains Assistant Operator and Utility/Helper/Offbearer, as assigned.
• Assigns and instructs Assistant Operator and Utility/Helper/Offbearer, as assigned.
• Performs quality checks as required.
• Takes appropriate corrective action.
• Maintains records of production, work in process, as required.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned or delegated.
