About The Position

Perform electronic and mechanical assembly by following work instructions, using hand tools and a variety of electronics assembly equipment. Set up and operate automated machines. Perform quality control inspections after passing the QC inspector test. Train co-workers on assemblies that you have experience with.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Ability to perform intricate electrical and/or mechanical assembly
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication
  • Work at or above standard job quality
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a low NCR rate
  • Must successfully complete hands-on solder training within the introductory period
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work at standard job efficiency after a reasonable job training period
  • Ability to use critical thinking and troubleshooting techniques for known issues
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time
  • Ability to stoop, reach and lift with your body and arms
  • Ability to see details at close range and to identify and distinguish colors
  • Ability to quickly move your hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
  • Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
  • Ability to use hand tools

  • Experience operating and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment

Responsibilities

  • Set up production equipment and machinery.
  • Monitor all aspects of machine and correct problems during the assembly process.
  • Prepare, change, and replace consumable materials and parts.
  • Read and understand bills of material matching capacitor and component values
  • Perform assembly operations per documented procedures and applicable standards.
  • Exchange information with auditors as needed.
  • Contribute to building a culture of cooperation and teamwork to improve product flow, quality and reduction in scrap.
  • Must be an active agent to support efforts in increasing quality and efficiency.
  • Document Errors though creation of NCRs and QFs.
  • Perform QC inspections per documented procedures and applicable standards.
  • Review instructions and records for accuracy and correct GDP.
  • Set up inspection processes and review assemblies.
  • Follow all safety and ESD guidelines.
  • Ensure good organization and cleanliness of workbench and manufacturing area.
  • Train other associates on assemblies which you have training and experience.
  • Must show proficiency at multiple workstations.
  • Perform rework per standard rework procedures.
  • Conduct basic assembly troubleshooting.
