Automation & Mechatronics Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated and electro-mechanical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role supports high-uptime production and material-handling environments and works closely with engineering, operations, and external vendors.

Requirements

  • Diploma or certificate in Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in an automation or industrial manufacturing environment
  • Hands‑on experience with Siemens PLCs, RTDs, sensors, and VFDs
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
  • Willingness to learn, with a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with solid basic mechanical skills
  • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and planning skills
  • Basic computer and math skills, with the ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to work with solvents and in environments with extreme heat, humidity, and high noise levels, while wearing required PPE
  • Physically able to lift 35–40 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and work 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts (days, afternoons, or nights) as business requires

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with good basic mechanical skills
  • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and planning skills

  • Ability to work with solvents and in environments with extreme heat, humidity, and high noise levels while wearing required PPE.
  • Physically able to lift 35–40 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and work 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts (days, afternoons, or nights) as business requires.
  • Ability to clearly distinguish between colours and shades of colour and lead or train others as required.
