Schedule: 5:40 PM - 5:50 AM BD is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support production equipment reliability and minimize downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience as a maintenance technician, manufacturing technician, industrial maintenance technician, or equipment technician who enjoy fixing, repairing, and improving production equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Equipment Technician, or similar technical role in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- One or more years of experience repairing industrial manufacturing equipment, machinery, or packaging equipment
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Responsibilities
- Solve issues and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated production equipment
- Diagnose equipment failures and perform routine and emergency repairs
- Complete preventive maintenance activities and document maintenance work
- Support assigned production lines to improve equipment uptime and efficiency
- Replace defective machine components and coordinate fabrication of replacement parts when needed
- Fix equipment performance issues and identify root causes of recurring problems
- Assist with equipment improvements and proactive maintenance initiatives
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions
- Mentor less experienced maintenance team members and support production personnel
- Work independently or as part of a team to resolve equipment breakdowns quickly and safely
