About The Position

We are a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor known for combining high-quality consulting services with customized energy solutions. Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, engineering applications, and automated control systems. The Automation Foreman will inspect, test, adjust, and repair new or existing electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic automation devices and systems. This role also involves diagnosing malfunctions, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and managing multiple jobs and crews. The Automation Foreman is also responsible for coaching and mentoring other automation technicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience.
  • 8 + years of direct automation experience with control systems and programming required.
  • Working knowledge of at least three HVAC control systems (preferably Delta, JCI or Andover)
  • Ability to interface with customers at a supervisory and management level.
  • Engineering skills required include electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good computer skills and understanding of controls networking.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with control system architecture design, programming, or maintenance desired.

Responsibilities

  • Representation of MPBAS with the customer during a construction project.
  • Communicate project status and resolve issues with PM.
  • Maintaining customer relationships.
  • Responsible for the financial success of all assigned construction projects.
  • Reviewing project submittals and bill of materials for accuracy.
  • Maintain project schedules.
  • Technical support for installers.
  • Provide thorough verbal and written documentation.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers for design changes, graphics, and programs.
  • Maintaining project forecasting manpower requirements.
  • Attend construction meetings and represent MPBAS.
  • Maintaining company installation standards.
