About The Position

The Automation Engineer will support automation initiatives within a GMP-regulated biologics pilot plant. This role involves hands-on automation system support, integration, maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts. The individual will also contribute to documentation aligned with SDLC and GMP compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation
  • Strong experience with Ignition platforms
  • Solid understanding of IT/OT integration
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming
  • Experience working within GMP-regulated environments
  • Proven ability in system and device integration

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with PI Historian preferred
  • Experience with DeltaV/Unicorn systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide automation system support and troubleshooting in a GMP environment
  • Lead or support integration of new automation systems and devices
  • Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Contribute to SDLC processes, including documentation and SOP development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and compliance
