About The Position

As an autonomy engineer, you will assist in the design, definition, development, and test of the robotics hardware development; collaborating with senior engineers to ensure that internal and external clients' needs are met.

Requirements

Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues , regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating , and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations
Hardware Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of hardware development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced hardware products to the marketplace
Hardware Product Testing: Knowledge of hardware testing; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure hardware quality and adherence to stated requirements
Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate , recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware applications or operations

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or related degree (selected candidates must complete their degree by their start date)
0-2 years of relevant experience related to this field (internships or academic projects are a plus)
Minimum cumulative GPA requirement 3.0/ 4.0 (no rounding)
Experience in 3D design using CREO
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment outside of the classroom

Responsibilities

Collecting and researching data on customer experience with robotic platforms; preparing reports for management
Documenting architecture specifications, hardware requirements and specifications, verification plans, test cases, operating procedures, and safety procedures
Utilize appropriate tools to develop hardware in 3D modeling tools according to specifications, create 2D drawings, collaborate with suppliers, and assist with procurement of the hardware.
Utilize appropriate tools to debug, test and maintain cat robotic hardware, assisting in the assembly, verification and validation process
