Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automation Engineer with a focus on Siemens PLCs.
- Expert level knowledge of Siemens Step7, TIA Portal, Safety ES, WinCC flexible & Advanced.
- Proficiency in designing control systems.
- Strong MS Office, AutoCAD Mechanical & Electrical, E-Plan skills.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Testing and debugging of automation equipment while applying knowledge of engineering technology.
- Programming, troubleshooting, and evaluating design considerations on new and existing systems and equipment.
- Maintaining a backup library of PLC, instrumentation software, and electrical documentation.
- Designing and implementing engineering solutions that meet project requirements while monitoring budget constraints.
- Maximizing production equipment quality and efficiency.
- Preparation of project scope, cost justification, and AFE (overall cost proposal) for senior management approval.
- Applying mechanical theory, mechanical testing procedures, and related knowledge to layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify production equipment.
- Evaluating, selecting, and coordinating with outside vendors for design, machining, and fabrication of parts and systems.
- Willingness to travel for projects on short notice, including weekends (approximately 70% travel, typically 1-2 weeks at a time).
- Performing other duties as assigned.
