You will also support and improve current manufacturing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5yrs applicable electrical controls & automation experience preferred
  • CAD Experience
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Project Management
  • Knowledge of Robotic Systems & Programming preferred
  • Knowledge of Pneumatic Circuits preferred
  • Knowledge of Electrical systems, examples may include: NEC Code, Control Circuits, Motion Control, PLC Programming

Responsibilities

  • Develop new and support existing robotic automation systems. Projects often involve injection mold press tending, automated component feeding and assembly, laser marking, and vision inspection.
  • Identify and implement appropriate new technology, controls and automation to maintain a competitive advantage in the market.
  • Manage new projects considering budget/cost targets, delivery timelines and early build events.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal personnel during all phases of new launches.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate appropriate response measures for existing production equipment.
  • Responsible for electrical controls, simulation, programming, debug, and start-up assistance.
  • Lead process development efforts for single component and 2 component liquid dispense applications. This includes specifying equipment and performing material trials.
  • Ability to travel as needed (<10%) when support is required at off-site equipment installations.
  • Ability to occasionally support 2nd and 3rd shifts as needed.
  • Design & management of new automated equipment
  • Develop project proposals, budgets, timelines, & open issue logs
  • Generation and modification of control & pneumatic schematics
  • Robot, PLC, & HMI programming
  • Ensure that equipment performs as specified
  • Collaboration with outside vendors to ensure that all project goals are met.
  • Work with internal skilled trades, operators, and outside vendors to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
