Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. We are seeking a candidate to work with controls Engineers to deploy Automation functionality into manufacturing. The candidate shall have exceptional interpersonal, team and communication skills. The ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements, with the ability to understand lean manufacturing principles as the voice of the customer to assure Automation solutions meet intent and customer requirements for operational efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering technical field or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience. OR an Advanced Engineering degree with 5+ Years of related experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment, particularly with automated and manual assembly operations.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems such as MES, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in machine automation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and process optimization.
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT, AI, and machine learning for manufacturing applications.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing-specific data sources, such as sensor data, production logs, and quality control metrics.
  • Understanding of aerospace and defense manufacturing processes (if applicable to the organization).
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Ignition & Python or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Assure Operational readiness for deployment of Automation Solutions.
  • Documentation of Automation solutions for training.
  • Provide solutions for visual factory install for Automation Solutions from feedback from customer.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality, and supply chain, to address data-driven challenges and opportunities.
  • Work with automation systems to extract and analyze machine performance data, ensuring optimal utilization of automated equipment.
  • Stay current with industry trends in manufacturing analytics, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key manufacturing performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, throughput, downtime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
