About The Position

This role involves supporting and working within the department, assisting with daily management duties such as labor allocation, leading meetings, assigning tasks, and communicating with internal and external suppliers. The position will also provide vacation coverage for Area Managers, handle policy follow-up and attendance tracking (without disciplinary actions), and track/report ATS/labor hours. Additionally, the role will act as an associate resource on the floor, training associates, verifying SOP compliance, and ensuring successful area performance through tracking, reporting, and feedback. Participation in Operational Excellence initiatives, filling in with production duties as needed, fully understanding workflow and daily production goals, and reviewing/updating SOPs are also key aspects. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized work area, identifying and addressing safety hazards, coaching associates on safe work practices, participating in safety initiatives, and referring all job injuries immediately to the area manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent, or 2+ years of PLC programming or automation engineering experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Experience in PLC based controls design, development, implementation and support

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in dealing with material handling, flow and capacity
  • Experience with Industrial control systems, both hardware and software

Responsibilities

  • Support and work in the department as required

  • Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers
