About The Position

ASML is seeking an Automation Engineer for Electrical Test systems in the Production Engineering Test department at its Wilton Factory. The role supports development, implementation, and release of multidisciplinary test equipment, as well as documented networking procedures and practices that improve the safety and reliability of network-connected production test stands. Daily work includes supporting electro-mechanical test equipment and module output in a manufacturing environment. The engineer leads electrical test and automation projects from requirements through validation and production deployment. The role develops, integrates, and maintains hardware, software, instrumentation, data-acquisition, database, analysis, and reporting solutions; troubleshoots issues across electrical, mechanical, software, computer, and network systems; and provides root-cause analysis and diagnostic guidance. It also involves installing and upgrading test software, backups, operating systems, programming environments, and network-connected factory equipment, while translating production needs into requirements, acceptance criteria, validation plans, procedures, and technical documentation. Approximately 50% of work time is spent in the cleanroom supporting production test engineering and resolving computer and network issues. The work takes place in a fully gowned ISO 9000/14000 cleanroom around production equipment and may involve overhead cranes, powered material movers, ladders, platforms, chemicals, lasers, strong magnetic fields, and high-voltage/high-current electrical systems. Travel may be required depending on company needs.
