Senior Automation Engineer Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our team onsite in Atlanta, GA . In this role, you will lead the design, development, and execution of automation frameworks and solutions that improve product quality, system reliability, and engineering efficiency. You will collaborate cross-functionally with software engineers, DevOps, product teams, and QA to drive best-in-class automation practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in test automation or software engineering
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript )
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar
• Hands-on experience with API testing frameworks (e.g., RestAssured, Postman, Karate)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Background in performance or load testing (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
• Experience implementing BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)
• Familiarity with security testing practices
• Previous experience in a lead or mentorship role

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and/or mobile applications
• Lead automation strategy, including tool selection, architecture, and implementation standards
• Build and execute automated test suites to validate functionality, performance, and reliability
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure testability, observability, and quality standards
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues
• Mentor junior engineers and promote automation best practices and coding standards
• Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to improve automation capabilities
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives
