About The Position

We are seeking an entry-level Automation Engineer to learn and grow while supporting automation systems used in manufacturing. Working with experienced engineers and cross-functional partners, this person will help troubleshoot equipment, complete assigned improvements, and prepare clear technical documentation in accordance with site procedures and quality requirements. You will be responsible for: Automation & Manufacturing Support Support the maintenance and improvement of automated manufacturing equipment Assist with troubleshooting PLC, HMI, sensor, communication, and equipment issues Help develop, modify, and test basic PLC and HMI applications under guidance Document work performed and communicate findings to the appropriate team members Projects & Compliance Support automation projects, equipment upgrades, testing, and startup activities Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor activities as assigned Assist with procedures, specifications, test records, and other technical documents Follow applicable safety, quality, change-control, and data-integrity requirements Teamwork & Development Work with Engineering, Operations, Quality, IT, and external suppliers Complete defined assignments, ask questions, and escalate technical or compliance concerns Learn site automation standards, manufacturing processes, and regulated-system practices Provide production support, including off-hours support when needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Zero to two years of relevant experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Internship, co-op, academic project, laboratory, or hands-on technical experience is welcomed
  • Basic knowledge or academic exposure in one or more of the following areas: PLC or industrial control systems, HMI or SCADA applications, Industrial equipment, sensors, instrumentation, robotics, or communications
  • Technical troubleshooting and documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk, or similar platforms
  • Exposure to GMP, validation, data integrity, or another regulated environment
  • Exposure to industrial networking, data collection, or reporting systems

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance and improvement of automated manufacturing equipment
