About The Position

CrowdStrike is looking for a Cloud Software Engineer to join our growing Falcon Complete AI Engineering Team. Our new colleague will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cloud ecosystems and automation services using Golang, Python, and Large Language Models. CrowdStrike is a computer security company, but we do not require candidates for this role to have prior security industry experience. We will mentor and train in security topics as needed. We do expect a strong interest in CrowdStrike's mission and a willingness to engage with the needs of our product teams and customers. Falcon Complete is CrowdStrike's premier managed detection and response service, providing 24/7 threat hunting, monitoring, and response capabilities. Our automation platform leverages cutting-edge AI technologies, scalable microservices, and intelligent workflow orchestration to enhance our security analysts' capabilities and streamline incident response at enterprise scale. Building on CrowdStrike's pioneering use of artificial intelligence, our automation infrastructure integrates LLM technologies, AI context engineering, and agentic automation frameworks—all deployed as resilient, horizontally-scalable services in our cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science (or professional experience in data structures/algorithms/distributed systems).
  • Experience with Language Models, Data Science, Data Engineering.
  • Prior work experience with big data and microservices.
  • Understanding of scalability and distributed systems i.e. sharding, partitioning, concurrency, etc.
  • Experience building and deploying services that handle production traffic at scale.
  • Production Kubernetes experience (deployments, Helm, ingress, horizontal pod autoscaling).
  • Hands-on AWS experience (VPC, IAM, load balancers, Lambda, and related services).
  • Strong understanding of databases (relational and NoSQL) and message queue systems.
  • Engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, observability, and resilient architecture.
  • The ability to thrive in a test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.
  • The skills to meet your commitments on time and produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing exposure to Go, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with AI coding tools, prompt engineering, and agentic automation frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Claude, etc.).
  • Understanding of incident detection, triage, and response workflows in MDR/SOC environments.
  • Advanced experience with auto-scaling technologies (KEDA, Kubernetes HPA/VPA).
  • CrowdStrike Falcon platform APIs and integration experience.
  • Monitoring stack experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos).
  • Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.

Responsibilities

  • Advance backend microservices, pinpointing and addressing critical concerns for analyst operations.
  • Design and implement agentic automation frameworks that reduce repetitive analyst tasks and scale security operations.
  • Innovate with Large Language Models to develop and refine AI-powered automation capabilities within the Falcon Complete team.
  • Construct and maintain data pipelines, engage in data upkeep, and contribute to the training and implementation of custom LLMs.
  • Build AI-powered automation services leveraging LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI context engineering techniques.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for automated deployment across CrowdStrike's Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with SOC analysts and engineering teams to identify high-value automation opportunities and devise solutions.
  • Emphasize top-tier coding quality by adhering to best practices, rigorous testing, and thorough logging and metrics.
  • Work within a collaborative and agile team environment.
  • Contribute to mentoring fellow engineers across a spectrum of technologies and also absorb knowledge from them.
  • Constantly explore ways to refine product architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and reliability.
  • Own your work with autonomy, end to end: develop, test, deploy and monitor your changes.
