As an Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure high-quality product delivery within our dynamic production environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or controls engineering
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal)
  • Experience with industrial robot programming and integration (e.g., Fanuc Teach Pendant, Universal Robots Polyscope)
  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, actuators, and motor control
  • Familiarity with HMI/SCADA development and configuration
  • Knowledge of vision systems and their applications in manufacturing (e.g., Cognex, Keyence)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks) is a plus
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate automated systems, including robotic cells, PLC-controlled machinery, and vision inspection systems
  • Program and configure PLCs (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens), HMIs, and industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, Universal Robots
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of automation equipment and software
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and maintenance, to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and operational procedures
  • Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and validation activities
  • Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance personnel on automated systems
  • Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and industry best practices
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation performance and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all automation projects
