Requirements

  • B.Sc. degree minimum in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical, Automation, Controls, Computer, Chemical Engineering)
  • 1-2+ years experience in Engineering in the Pharmaceutical industry

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DeltaV and/or ABB DCS preferred
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry preferred
  • Knowledge of batch processes, GMP, GAMP and the S88 standard preferred
  • Ability to work with short timelines to meet project schedule and milestones
  • Ability to organize personal tasks
  • Have a quality mindset
  • Focus on keeping promises, meeting expectations and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Automation Engineer focusing on implementation, troubleshooting and repair of primarily DeltaV and ABB DCS systems to support operations.
  • Review and revise User, Functional, and Process Requirement Specifications for the Automation Systems being implemented.
  • Troubleshoot DeltaV and ABB code and functionality for Validation and Production systems supporting Upstream and Downstream manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in On-Call rotation supporting 24/7 Manufacturing Operations to troubleshoot and repair Automation issues.
  • Collaborate with FLBU Manufacturing, Instruments and Controls, Process Engineering, and CQV to develop robust Automation solutions.
  • Participate in quality activities like Design Qualification and test activities.
  • Work as per defined procedures and ensure a validated state for automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and support other Automation systems on site, such as standalone PLC systems, BMS, etc.
