Designs, develops, and implements automated manufacturing equipment and control systems (Industrial automation). Troubleshoots complex technical issues, leads validation efforts, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies while ensuring continuous improvement and safety. Develops, codes, and commissions automated systems, including PLC programming, robotics, and motion control systems. Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues and non-standard failures in automated and control machinery to minimize downtime. Manages automation projects, including scope, timelines, and driving initiatives from design to deployment. Validates protocols and ensures all automation systems comply with safety, industry, and quality standards. Analyzes production workflows and data to optimize performance, increase efficiency, and reduce operational costs. Creates technical reports, standard operating procedures, and electrical documentation. Provides technical leadership and training. Coordinates with external vendors for design, procurement, and installation of new equipment. Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual and dependable to meet the needs of the department and the organization. Executes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform the job successfully. Follows all safety procedures required in the work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions. Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receiving and giving feedback, and treats everyone with respect. Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects. Follows all department quality standards/criteria.
